*Al-Ahly vs AS Roma: It was Ghaly's challenge on Guardiola that set up Ahly's first goal. Ahly eventually won 2-1.

*Besiktas vs Tottenham: Ghaly netted the first goal for Spurs in an impressive 2-0 away win, seeing the ball hit him and loop over Besiktas goalkeeper Vedran Runje after his initial shot had been saved.

*Tottenham Hotspur vs Chelsea: An emphatic performance from Ghaly in a 2-1 victory over the Premier League Champions Chelsea.

*Blackburn Rovers vs Tottenham: With his side 1-0 down, Ghaly stormed into the penalty area and went down under a challenge from Tugay, winning the penalty from which Jermain Defoe scored to earn Tottenham a point. In what was bad-tempered match, Ghaly was sent off by referee Phil Dowd late on for leaning with his elbow in an aerial challenge with Michael Gray. In the ensuing altercation his manager Martin Jol appeared to have been red carded for arguing with the referee, but later clarification proved this to be untrue.

*In the match between Portsmouth F.C. and Tottenham he had four teeth knocked out by Noe Pamarot, but finished the first half.[2]

*On 11 March 2007, he scored only his second goal for Tottenham in a 3-3 draw with Chelsea in the FA Cup quarter final at Stamford Bridge.

*In a Premier League match against Blackburn on 10 May 2007, his future at Tottenham was placed into doubt after he threw his shirt onto the substitute bench following being substituted in the second half. He had been brought on in the first half after an injury to Steed Malbranque, and rebelled when brought off. Some Tottenham fans were left angry at Ghaly's reaction, singing "You're not fit to wear the shirt" and he was disciplined by the club soon after.[3] He issued the following apology: "I am just so angry with myself," Ghaly told the official Spurs site. "I have always considered it an honour to wear the Tottenham shirt and I never intended to show any disrespect.

*"I knew things weren't happening for me out there, my play was terrible and I could hear the crowd jeering me. I was so upset at the fans' reaction. I have enjoyed playing in front of the Club's supporters all season and I felt I had given of my best all the time and played some decent football. It is always hard to accept being substituted after such a short period of time and I was upset and taken aback by the cheering. I am a player who plays with my heart.

"I know my reaction was totally wrong. I have apologised to the manager and I also want to apologise to the fans. I hope they don't judge me on this incident alone. I have tried hard for the Club this season."Ghaly has however reportedly since stated that he along with fellow countyman Mido wish to leave Tottenham due to his frustration at the fact that he is unable to play central midfield.
